Just like an 870. Perfect gun for when things go bump in the night. Feeds buckshot and turkey load with no problems. Wonderful close range groups with both loads, should stop anything or anybody in their tracks. Very loud when fired inside and load when you rack the action. It would scare the hell out of me in the dark.

I have a pair of these.One has the bird barrel and the other is the home defense model. They go bang everytime I want them to. Never a jam or any problems. Just clean them very well when you first get it. They have lots of thick grease on them that can cause trouble if it is not cleaned off. Built like a tank, and being from China it may have been made from one. Most aftermarket 870 gear fits except the barrels. you need a dremel tool to make it fit. Over 4000 rounds in the birdgun, mostly trap loads, action gets smoother with time. Great recoil pad.

I''m retired LE and I''ve had numerous handguns over the past 30 years... However, I don''t care for handgun when it comes to home defense... Most handgun owners are rarely trained or routinely practice with their firearms... If you own a handgun, KNOW IT, USE IT, CLEAN IT AND ABOVE ALL, SECURE IT!!! Most handguns used in crimes are stolen from STUPID people ]some with badges[ who probably shouldn''t own one in the first place... By the way, if you want a handgun for home protection and your not willing or able to get the proper training, FORGET IT!!! When your hands start shaking and you crapping your pants ]adrenaline shock[, your not going to make the shot!!! Do yourself a favor and get a 12 gauge 18.5 pump action shotgun and load it up with HIGH QUALITY / FRANGIBLE / LOW RECOIL / 00 BUCKSHOT... Point and shot is all you''ll need to do to eliminate or stop the problem... Furthermore, do a REAL LOUD RACKING when chambering the first round, just prior to confrontation, and you''ll probably never need to fire the weapon... EVERYONE KNOWS TO RESPECT THAT SOUND, OR IT COULD BE THE LAST SOUND THEY EVER HEAR!!! NEVER FORGET 9-11!!!

Great home defense gun. Most aftermaket 870 parts will fit it, except barrels. Don''t baby it, rack it hard. It gets smoother with use. Be sure to clean all the thick grease out of it when new. A light coat of Rem-oil is all you need. For women try the reduced recoil buckshot loads for home defense, nothing wrong with light birdshot for home defense.

Think about it guys, 6 loads of 00 buck put down range that is 42 projectiles in a lot less time than it takes to empty your AR. If you live in a Blue state this sure beats an AR with a 10 round mag.
