nice gun. functions and fires flawlessly. oversize safety is a little too oversize. finish on safety and beavertail is a little mottled but the rest is very smooth and even. came with 1 "shooting star" 8 round mag. very accurate out of the box, 1/2 inch groups at 10 yards. very fast shipping, ordered on saturday received on tuesday. very happy with purchase.

This one is also marked with StreetMaster on the Slide but since the final owner is looking for a carry gun and not a Safe Queen I don''t think this matters. I only gave this particular gun 4 Stars because I think it should have been marked with the 09-11-01 markings. Like many of the Detonics handguns I have run into this one is going to take a few rounds of break-in shooting before it becomes 100. I would also guess that from the shooting I have already done this will be a very good to excellent shooter. The Coned Barrels concept has long been proven to be excellent in the shooting department and the extra weight makes felt recoil considerably less. This gun also was very aggressive in the ejection of fired cartridges cases.

Great pistol! Although- Me and my friend ordered these 1911''s a day apart from each other, and I made the order a day earlier... The problem with that is I got the Detonics "STREET MASTER" and he got the Detonics "9-11-01" Be weary ordering Clearance items... Love the gun, just not the model I ordered.
